But the statements by the top feminists are proving some thing else. Every body, very well knows that 498a is being misused at large these days. Let me explain the statement with an illustration. These days 100 innocent men, including, their mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, brother in laws, sister in laws etc. etc. are charging totally wrong, under section 498a. There are hundreds and thousands of false cases are registering under section 498a etc, daily in our country. Due to this harassment more and more men are committing suicide. Check out the NCRB and WHO data. In comparison to this, only one or two cases are true, where women are facing problems like dowry etc.
One of the top feminist said in her statement , “ You are looking at and talking about those men and not caring about those ladies who are the real sufferers. This law is made for those sufferers.”
Mrs Chowdhary and other feminists saying that “100 innocent people may die, but one criminal should not be escaped।”

Now, PUT this figure as 50-50। 50 husband sufferers and 50 wive sufferers. Still it is not complete. It is because, along with 50 husbands, least, there are 50 mothers, 50 fathers 50 brothers, 50 sisters and a lot more of the other family members of the husband. Here the figure comes to 250. It means 250 innocent persons are implicated in false cases. Don’t forget that this is just an example. Actual figures are much more in millions and millions. If theres a small fight in between husband and wife, if theres a dispute in between two, or they find or realize that they cant live with each other, they approach the court/law to get separated. But, every body very well knows what happens later in the court these days.
